I am interested in the formation of identity in football fans, particularly how they use politics, locality and history in this construction.
I am also interested in how global transformations in political economy and changing patterns of consumption are affecting sports fans.
My current research is on Italian football and Livorno in particular, although I am interested in all forms of sport and nations.
