About
I began exploring a recent wave of envionmental non-fiction currently being published in Britain by authors such as Robert Macfarlane, Richard Mabey and Tim Robinson among others. I have now broadened my reserach to incorporate the longer tradition of this writing (through Gilbert White, Wordsworth, Clare, Jefferies, Thomas etc.) examining how such concepts as nature, landscape and materiality have developed in relation to ideas about authorship, language and creative artifice.
